Arnold & Porter is seeking a Legal Resource Assistant Floater to join our Washington, DC office. This role provides administrative support to attorneys and legal staff across multiple practice groups in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a fully onsite position requiring a high degree of adaptability, organization, and professionalism.

- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and emails with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide comprehensive support for trials, depositions, client meetings, and case strategy sessions, including organizing exhibits, binders, and presentation materials.
- Manage complex attorney calendars; schedule meetings, conference calls, and virtual sessions using platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Process and track expenses and invoices using Emburse.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Organize, distribute, and maintain incoming and outgoing mail.
- Monitor attorney workloads and proactively assist with shifting priorities.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
- Track and manage attorney state and federal court admissions and renewals.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and firm-specific systems to complete assignments efficiently.
- Assist with new client and matter intake processes.
- Review, edit, and finalize client invoices.
- Partner with accounting and e-billing teams to ensure accurate and timely billing procedures.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with databases and internet research.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and flexible approach.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
