Are you the person everyone calls when something mechanical stops working? Good with engines, tools, troubleshooting and figuring out how to fix things?
We'd like to talk to you.
Arnold Industrial Equipment Service has been a family-owned Rochester business for more than 40 years, and we're looking for another mechanic to join our small team.
We repair and service forklifts and other industrial equipment, both in our shop and at local businesses around Rochester.
Here's the important part: You do NOT need forklift experience to apply!
If you've worked on diesel engines, cars, trucks, tractors or heavy equipment, you've probably already got a lot of the skills we're looking for.
Maybe you've spent years working in an automotive shop. Maybe you're a diesel mechanic looking for something different. Or maybe you're one of those people who's always been mechanically inclined and has learned a lot by taking things apart and putting them back together.
If you've got the mechanical ability and want to learn, we're willing to teach you the forklift side of the business.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $20–$40/hour, depending on experience and ability.
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Consistent, predictable hours.
- Company service truck for local repair calls.
- Health insurance and paid time off.
- A lot of independence. We want somebody who enjoys solving problems and taking pride in their work.
- Variety! Different equipment, different problems, different challenges.
- A small family business that's been around for more than 40 years. No corporate bureaucracy or being just another employee number.
We aren't looking for the fanciest résumé or a long list of certifications.
We're looking for somebody dependable who knows how to use tools, understands how mechanical things work, likes fixing things and isn't afraid to learn something new.
