Shipping and Receiving Specialist

SUMMARY: Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received within the company along with distributing and tracking of all parts needed for production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to the following)

• Run a morning check of received parts, inventory new parts into Visual Job Shop and then issue parts to needed jobs or place in warehouse

• Daily part checks with Various Departments

• Unload and receive daily shipments, making sure all parts are received in good condition and packing slips match the part and quantity received

• Record daily purchase orders and shipments in Visual Job Shop

• Process daily paperwork necessary for Quality to inspect received parts

• Fulfill orders for opened pick lists per department

• Replace and then properly dispose defective and/or scrap materials and parts

• Maintain and organize both inside and outside warehouse

• Pack up supplies and create mailings labels for any product and/or tool that may need calibrated, mailed to vendor and/or shipped to customer

• Contact carrier and schedule shipping

• File and submit daily receipts of incoming and outgoing shipments

• Update inventory count when pulling and/or stocking parts on shelf and in the Visual Job Shop program

• Conduct yearly inventory count of both the inside and outside warehouses

• Operate forklift truck

QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSING AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

• General Knowledge of parts

• Forklift Certification

• Visual Job Shop Training

• Organizational skills

• Attention to detail

• Confidence in basic math skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
