Arnold Center, Inc. is a community rehabilitation organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and other barriers to community inclusion. The organization provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as Community Living Supports in residential and group settings. In addition, Arnold Center, Inc. offers vocational training to help people build job skills and increase independence. Home chore services are also provided to support daily living needs and promote participation in the community. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lead Behavior Technician role based in Gladwin, MI. The Lead Behavior Technician will implement behavior intervention plans developed by clinical supervisors, using ABA principles to support individuals with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering direct behavior support, collecting and documenting data, monitoring client progress, and providing feedback to the clinical team. The role involves coaching and mentoring behavior technicians, modeling effective intervention strategies, and helping to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. The Lead Behavior Technician will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other team members, participate in team meetings and training, and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• RBT Certified
• Strong foundation in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, with the ability to implement behavior intervention plans consistently and accurately.
• Skills in Behavioral Intervention and Psychology sufficient to understand behavior functions, support skill acquisition, and manage challenging behaviors safely and ethically.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear documentation, professional interaction with individuals served, families, and team members, and accurate reporting of observations.
• Previous experience in ABA for at least 1 year highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related field is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example, mentor peers, and support a positive, person-centered team culture.
• Ability to work on-site in Gladwin, MI, including standing, walking, and engaging in active support with individuals as needed.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation; willingness to learn agency-specific systems and tools.
• Current first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain, and ability to meet any background check or training requirements applicable to the role.
