Position Description

Responsible for the accurate receiving, staging, and storage of purchased parts and material. Ensures bills of lading (BOL) are accurate and material condition is acceptable and/ or documented on the BOL. Maintains integrity in both the ERP system and the physical inventory through timely and accurate transactional/ physical processing.

Specific expectations of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk may include but not limited to:

Job Description:

• Accurately receive in, store, and deliver materials in a timely manner.
• Inspect materials upon receipt, label/ barcode materials accurately.
• Compare purchase orders with packing lists for accuracy.
• Communicate receiving issues with the purchasing department.
• Conducts inventory and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, powered industrial vehicles, hoists, and digital scales.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills, keyboarding skills, and data entry.
• Ability to learn the ERP system, and other systems as required.
• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Record keeping / must be well organized.
• Customer service minded, team and detail oriented, and driven to continually improve.
• Adheres to all safety and quality policies and practices.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Continuous use of arms and hands.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Powered industrial vehicle experience preferred (forklift, powered pallet jack, etc....)
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Preferred:

• ASCM certification
