What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Store Merchandiser for Lansing Area position at Arnie's Bakery?
ARNIE'S BAKERY - a Family owned and operated company is hiring for a Merchandiser for the Lansing area to join our top-notch team. If you are a self starter, and work well without direct supervision, Arnie's is THE fit for you.
The position available is MID-morning hours which would range from 9am - Noon or Noon to 3pm. Weekends, and Holidays are required. This position does allow some flexibility when it comes to hours and days worked.
Duties and Responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Managing product displays and inventory to drive sales and maximize profitability by ensuring store shelves are adequately stocked with Arnie's products.
- Arrange displays so that they appeal to customers shopping trends while making sure Arnie's products are being rotated (first in and first out), and removing all outdated and damaged goods.
- Keeping all displays clean and free of dust, dirt and grime while being sure to report any damage or repairs needed to displays.
- Removing non-Arnie's products and putting them back onto store shelves where they belong.
- Monitor inventory based on sales and make changes/adjustments as needed.
- Work performed will entail fine manipulation of hands/and or fingers, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, lifting, stacking, squatting, and use of your upper/lower body mobility.
- Products are on carts with wheels and could be more than 50 pounds on a cart. Merchandisers must be able to push/pull carts on wheels that could weigh more than 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license is required as travel to multiple locations is necessary.
- Own transportation is required as travel to multiple locations is necessary.
- Merchandisers often will have communication with store associates and store management. Positive service oriented approach is a must.
- Provide assistance and information to customers about the Arnie's brand.
- Merchandiser will also be utilizing own cell phone to send/receive information that relates to stores, inventory and other important information with either the Merchandising Lead and Merchandising Manager or both.
- Other duties as needed/or assigned.
