Arnall Golden Gregory LLP is seeking a Transaction Support Project Manager to join our Washington, DC office. This role is ideal for a highly organized legal professional who enjoys managing complex transactional matters and organizing a large practice to make it more scalable. This role will be responsible for coordinating transaction workflows, managing data and documentation processes, coordinating client intake and project staffing, overseeing billing processes, and maintaining direct communication with all functional elements of the practice (including attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants and billing, collections and IT professionals). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in legal practice management and the full life cycle of real estate and financing transactions. Candidates should have at least five years of experience in legal support or case management, strong communication and technology skills, and a solid understanding of the practice of transactional law.
Position Reports to: Kelly Bissinger; Real Estate Practice Group Leaders
Overall Responsibilities:
Primary duties will include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Manage project workflows across a variety of concurrent transactional matters, ensuring timely and accurate execution of the documentation and closing processes.
- Coordinate staffing needs for project teams, including internal resources and external vendors, to support deal strategy and deadlines.
- Oversee billing processes and file openings related to team clients, including ensuring correct rates, tracking time, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with e-billing guidelines.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for firm non-attorneys and non-paralegals that are supporting the practice.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative teams to streamline team operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and maintain documentation filing protocols and reporting for active matters, including naming conventions, timelines, task lists, and status updates.
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
Required skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transaction support or legal project management within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of transaction processes, including due diligence, documentation and closing, as well as time entry and billing.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Basic data analytics skills and experience using Microsoft Office Products and a legal document management system
- Prior experience with real estate and/or financing transactions strongly preferred
Mental/Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Indoor offices with controlled temperatures with limited exposure to noise, dust, chemicals.
- Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.

Hours
Full-time; Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:30 (1-hour lunch); flexibility required; extended hours will be expected during periods of heavy transactional volume

Salary Range
$135,000-$160,000
