Summary
The Live Event Intern will amongst other duties work on live sport productions streamed to ESPN , and KnightVision (YouTube). assist in setup, breakdown and maintenance of broadcast equipment and assist in pre-production and post-production duties. This is a Hybrid Role, meaning you will have the opportunity to work on post at the United States Military Academy, but also the ability to complete tasks from home as necessary.

- The person in this position frequently communicates with various Army West Point Athletic Association employees.
- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various events.
- Works in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintains a calm demeanor and works well under pressure in unexpected circumstances.
Essential Functions
60% Assist on live broadcasts as a production assistant (pre-production, production, post-production.)
- Learn how to set up and break down broadcast equipment.
- Work various positions on live broadcasts. (TD, graphics operator, replay operator, camera operator etc.)
30% Preparation of graphics, video elements, and other assets for use during live productions
- Create and edit visual assets for use on social media/live productions.
- Cut-up broadcasts highlights/melts.
5% Movement of broadcast equipment
5% Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program, with a concentration in Film/Television, media production or sport management.
- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various events
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using broadcast equipment and software
- Knowledge of NewTek broadcasting equipment.
- Knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro or other editing software (Davinci, Final-Cut)
- Knowledge of various cameras.
- Familiarity with sports is a plus.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States of America, without sponsorship.
- Must be eligible to work on a military installation, including a willingness to submit to a background screen.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
