Activities Aide Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Aide to join our team. The Activities Aide will work closely with the Activities Director to plan and implement recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for our residents. This role is crucial in promoting socialization, stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents.
Activities Aide Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of a variety of activities and programs that meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents.
Engage residents in activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical movement.
Assist in setting up and cleaning up activity areas and materials.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities are integrated into the overall care plan for each resident.
Provide support and assistance to residents during activities as needed.
Activities Aide Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in recreation therapy or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient with a genuine interest in the well-being of others.
