Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records to determine accuracy of shipments and conformance with purchase documents.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Directs movement of shipments from receiving platform to storage and work areas.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Compiles records of unfilled orders.
• Post weight and shipping charges.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Prepares packaging containers. Lines and pads cartons and assemble cartons. Obtains and sorts product.
• Wraps protective material around product.
• Prepares product for shipping.
• Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
• Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
• Moves, counts, and inspects for damage when transferring quarantine to stock products.
• Drives forklift to move pallets.
• Count and inspect customer returns.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• up to one year of related experience or training
• Ability to work independently and to follow instructions and SOP’s
• Basic computer skills required
• Has been Certified as a forklift operator from previous experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour
