What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Recovery Specialist Re-entry Coordinator position at Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission Inc?
The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission is seeking a full-time Certified Recovery Specialist to work at the Armstrong County Jail. This position provides one-on-one recovery support to inmates and assists with connecting individuals to community resources upon release.
The CRS will provide non-clinical recovery support services, including coordination of care, casework activities, peer support, mentoring, and aftercare planning. The position works closely with individuals to support recovery, help navigate the system of care, and connect to needed services in the community.
This role includes working with inmates receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). All MAT inmates will meet with the CRS while incarcerated, and the CRS will help set up services in the community to continue MAT upon release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one recovery support to inmates
- Assist with reentry planning and connection to community resources
- Offering peer support, mentoring, and guidance
- Complete coordination of care and casework activities
- Ensure all MAT inmates are seen and have services in place prior to release
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency policies and the Armstrong Jail policies
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be in recovery from substance use disorder
- Prefer someone with CRS Certification/Must obtain Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification within one year of hire
