DESCRIPTION:
Collections Representatives responsibilities include successful collection of delinquent medical accounts, handling various patient inquires, billing of insurance, completing payment transactions, submitting documentation upon patient request, and call escalation, while providing resolution for matters encompassing communication with insurance companies, billing patient insurance, disputes and various situational inquiries requiring further review. The role of Collections Representative is to ensure successful account maintenance and collection of patient accounts.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Handle both inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Handle escalated calls
- Insurance billing
- Disputes
- Communications with insurance companies
- Research files to identify third party payors
To be successful you must possess good written and verbal communication skills. Efficiency in both interpretation and documentation of accounts are a must. You will be provided with in-depth training so that you become proficient in HIPAA and FDCPA regulatory guidelines. Organizational and problem-solving skills desired.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic typing and computer skills
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Proven history of punctuality, attendance, and overall professional attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Detailed resume: including employment history
- Experience is not required, but a positive attitude and commitment to high ethical standards are required.
STARTING SALARY:
$13.00 per hour plus performance bonuses and commission. Bilingual candidates receive and additional $1.00 per hourly rate ($14.00).
*Over the previous 12 months, collector bonuses averaged between $740 and $2300 per month.
