Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour nights, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit. This unit focuses on a diverse patient population, providing critical nursing care to those transitioning from the ICU or receiving specialized medical treatment. You will be responsible for monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and symptoms.


• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including titratable drips.


• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and treatments.


• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).


• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.


• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

• Current RN license in a recognized state.


• BLS certification required.


• Experience in a medical-surgical or stepdown setting preferred.
