This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 12 hours, 19:00 to 07:00, three days a week.

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, performing intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed. This role requires minimal supervision and involves evaluating patients to recommend treatment plans. The therapist will explain the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients, providing necessary education for their discharge to home.

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen, aerosol devices, and nebulizers.


• Perform chest physiotherapy to assist in secretion clearance.


• Perform suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal) and monitor oximetry and capnography.


• Review patient's chest x-rays and perform pulmonary function studies.


• Assist with respiratory care-related procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.


• Provide tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal.


• Perform arterial puncture and assess ventilation efficiency.


• Document all pertinent treatment information and communicate with physicians regarding patient therapy.


• Maintain respiratory therapy charging and equipment usage records.

• Relevant clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure.


• BLS and ACLS certification required.
