Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry Step-Down Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our MedSurg/Telemetry Step-Down Unit. This fast-paced unit is focused on enhancing patient throughput and ensuring high-quality patient care. As part of our team, you will work in a clinical decision/direct admit environment, receiving patients directly from the Emergency Department and initiating acute care orders while completing admission assessments and medication reconciliations.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a step-down/telemetry setting.


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


• Monitor patient telemetry and vital signs, ensuring safety and addressing any concerns.


• Complete admission assessments and medication reconciliations upon patient transfer from the ED.


• Assist with maintaining a positive working environment and support fellow team members.

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, or Step-Down nursing.


• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.


• NIHSS Certification preferred.


• Positive attitude and focus on teamwork in a high-turnover unit.
