Pediatric Cardiac Prep and Recovery RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM.

The Pediatric Cardiac Prep and Recovery RN is responsible for providing pre and post-anesthesia care for special cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional catheter procedures spanning a patient demographic from neonates to geriatric congenital cardiac patients. This role involves strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, particularly in preparation for and recovery from pediatric cardiac procedures.

• Perform a minimum of 2-3 patient visits per day.


• Care for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures, device closures, valve interventions, and other specialized catheterization procedures.


• Monitor patients pre and post-procedure, ensuring their safety and comfort.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric ICU or procedural care nursing is preferred.


• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.


• Active South Carolina RN license required prior to the start date.
