This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour Day shifts available.

The Registered Nurse in the PACU will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role involves close monitoring, managing complications, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment, particularly for post-kidney transplant and neuro intervention patients.

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, particularly in high-acuity scenarios.


• Provide care for higher acuity patients, including ventilation management and vasoactive drip administration.


• Ensure airway vigilance and manage anesthesia-related complications.


• Implement effective pain management strategies, especially for high-risk populations such as bariatric patients.


• Communicate clearly with surgical teams regarding patient status and escalate concerns as appropriate.


• Conduct frequent neuro checks and manage access site monitoring post-neuro interventions.


• Collaborate closely with anesthesia, focusing on early detection and management of complications.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.


• BLS Certification required.


• Prior experience in a PACU, ICU, or closely related field with exposure to high-acuity patients.


• Experience managing post-operative kidney transplant and neuro intervention patients preferred.


• Strong assessment skills, ability to interpret lab results, and active involvement in postoperative care.
