Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour day shift from 08:00 to 20:30, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

The Registered Nurse will work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), providing critical care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.

• Monitor and assess patients in recovery from anesthesia.


• Administer medications as required and maintain patient safety.


• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.


• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.


• Handle and care for equipment such as BiPap, Cpap, and occasional ventilators.


• Review EKG strips and consult physicians for official reads.

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.


• PACU experience preferred; ICU or Emergency Department experience is also valuable.


• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC, is beneficial.

This is a 13-week contract position.
