Physical Therapist - Outpatient Contract Position
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our outpatient therapy team. This position involves evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician directions. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring an effective return to community activities. This role also focuses on patient education and the professional growth of staff and students.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document patient care in a clear and timely manner, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Participate in student programs, providing supervision and positive learning environments.
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain licensure in good standing.
- Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with evaluations conducted for 60 minutes and follow-ups every 30 minutes. The assignment duration is for 6 months, starting ASAP.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active state licensure for Physical Therapy.
- Previous experience with our agency is highly desired.
- Submissions from PTAs will not be accepted.
