This is a 13-week contract position.

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises occupational therapy treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. The therapist embraces organizational values, focusing on patient and employee safety, superior quality care, and teamwork.

• Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.


• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning for each patient.


• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and therapy students.


• Maintain documentation according to departmental policies and procedures.


• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures.


• Communicate with patients and their families effectively and compassionately.


• Maintain flexibility in scheduling while prioritizing patient care.


• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.

• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.


• Must hold a valid, current state license for Occupational Therapy.


• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.


• Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
