**Job Title: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-Hour Night Shifts**

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic medical team for 12-hour night shifts. As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care to neuro patients and contribute to a collaborative, supportive environment, particularly when interacting with students and new hires.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Neuro ICU, utilizing advanced clinical skills and techniques for both surgical and medical neurological diagnoses.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as per medical directives.
• Utilize medical equipment effectively, including vital sign machines, glucometers, SCDs, bladder scanners, vein finders, and IV pumps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in patient education and family support.
• Adjust care plans based on patient conditions and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a culture of support and teaching within the unit, engaging with students and new hires.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in an ICU setting, with a strong background in neuro nursing preferred.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
• Teaching hospital experience and charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza or provide a declination.
  
  

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, with expectations of working 2-3 weekends per month.
• Please note that block scheduling is not available; weekend-only requests will be considered.
  
  

Additional Information

• Local applicants within a 60-mile radius are not accepted for this position.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment due to census changes.
• Applicants are expected to submit and have approved all requested time off prior to acceptance.
