Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry Float

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour night shifts with weekend coverage required.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Med/Surg Telemetry to join our resource float pool. This position requires flexibility as the RN will float among different units. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing multiple patients with diverse medical needs, including oncology, orthopedic, and urology patients.

• Provide care in a Med/Surg Telemetry environment, managing up to 5 patients depending on the unit.


• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.


• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


• Conduct various protocols including IVs, bladder scans, and glucose monitoring.


• Monitor patient's vital signs and respond to changes in condition.


• Support ED HOLD patients when necessary, working alongside the ER team.

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Med/Surg or telemetry setting.


• AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN certification preferred.


• NIHSS certification required prior to starting.


• Recent Epic documentation system experience (within the last 2 years) is mandatory.
