Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15, including every other weekend and holidays.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med/Surg unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting, providing care for adults and geriatric patients. The RN will be part of an Inclement Weather Team and may also be responsible for caring for COVID patients. They must be willing to report to work during emergencies, such as disasters or mass casualties.

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients.


• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.


• Operate medical equipment, including Heparin drips and wound vacs.


• Deliver patient education and support to patients and families.


• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.


• Float to similar units as required, adhering to all protocols and guidelines.


• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and SBAR systems.

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg unit.


• Current RN license (NC or Compact license pending is acceptable).


• BLS certification required; CPI preferred.


• Epic experience is mandatory.


• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
