Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) with Pediatric Experience

Assignment Duration

This is a short-term contract position for a duration of 8 weeks.

Shifts are from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.

The Emergency Department (ED) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including pediatric exposure, to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population. The unit caters to a wide range of conditions, such as strokes, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrests, and respiratory failures.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.


• Skillfully assess and manage patients with acute medical conditions.


• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.


• Participate in triage and deliver care in an efficient and timely manner.


• Floating to other areas may be required based on unit needs.

• Must possess a valid and active New York State RN license.


• Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC certification must be current and in hand).


• Documented travel experience is required.


• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is required.


• A NURSYS report for license verification is necessary.


• Charge nurse capability is highly preferred.
