Registered Behavior Technician Job Summary:
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will assist in implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary role is to work directly with clients to support their development and help them achieve their behavioral goals.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the modification of intervention strategies based on collected data and feedback from the supervising BCBA.
- Delivering one-on-one behavior therapy sessions to clients based on the individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
- Observing and documenting client behavior, progress, and responses to interventions.
- Attending training sessions and supervision meetings to enhance skills and ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Supporting clients in developing and enhancing communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Maintaining a positive and encouraging environment to foster client engagement and progress.
- Implementing behavior interventions and data collection procedures as outlined in the client’s behavior plan.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Qualifications:
- RBT certification
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and medical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, records, and care plans related to patient care.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching and interacting with clients and their families.
- Compassionate approach towards individuals requiring special education or behavioral support.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
