Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Resource Coordinator to lead efforts in connecting individuals with vital community services and resources. In this role, you play a vital role in supporting participants as they transition back into the community, providing direct resource and referral assistance. This role collaborates closely with the Case Manager to ensure participants' needs are met and shares regular progress and summary reports with the Programs Director.

Responsibilities

  • Participant Support, Resource Coordination, and Case Management
  • Assist in preparing participants for release and reentry, including orientation and goal setting.
  • Conduct participant eligibility screenings and intake assessments to identify barriers to stability and connect participants with appropriate resources.
  • Provide direct resource and referral assistance to participants, helping them navigate community-based services and public benefit programs (e.g., Coordinated Entry, HMIS, ORCA Lift, DSHS) as part of their reentry or transition plan.
  • Assist participants in completing forms and accessing resources related to employment, housing, transportation, and food assistance.
  • Support participant enrollment and ongoing engagement in programs such as ORCA Lift, Housing Connector, DSHS, Coordinated Entry, A-19 and other programs when applicable.
  • Facilitate warm handoffs to external organizations and coordinate closely with internal staff, as needed.
  • Mentor participants throughout their transition and goal achievement process.
  • Maintain strong and trusting relationships with participants, community partners, and team members by responding promptly to inquiries via phone, text, or email.

Community Engagement & Partnership Development

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive database of local resources, including housing, employment, education, healthcare, mental health services, and legal aid.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, service providers, and government agencies to expand available resources for participants.
  • Advocate for participant needs and collaborate with partners to improve service access.
  • Represent Arms Around You at community meetings, networking events, and resource fairs.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date physical and digital files for all participants.
  • Record intake information, participant goals, service interactions, and progress outcomes in the designated system.
  • Collect, organize, and report monthly case activity, progress updates, and outcomes to the Programs Director.

Administrative & Collaborative Duties

  • Relay participant concerns and updates promptly to appropriate staff.
  • Ensure all case documentation is complete, current, and compliant with organizational standards.
  • Always maintain participant confidentiality in accordance with AAY policy.
  • Support team projects and assist with other duties as assigned to improve program outcomes.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings with the Program Director and case Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year’s experience working with at-risk or justice-involved populations.
  • Familiarity with community resources in King County and/or Pierce County.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Gmail, and standard office tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse communities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and patience when navigating systemic barriers affecting participants (transportation, court requirements, limited access to phones/internet, etc.).
  • Comprehensive understanding of community Resources within King and the surrounding counties
  • Proven ability to connect formerly incarcerated and justice involved individuals to vital services such as housing, employment, education and other essential needs
  • Knowledge of case management processes and participant data tracking systems.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a Reentry Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Lived experience within the justice system.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
  • Substance Abuse Disorder Professional Certification

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

In this role, the employee will regularly:

  • Ability to remain at a desk or computer for extended periods.
  • Frequent communication via phone, email, and in-person with clients and team members.
  • Occasional travel within King and surrounding counties may be required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a trauma-informed, community-based environment with moderate noise and frequent interruptions.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
