This role includes diagnostics, service, repair, and installation work in residential and light commercial environments. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, code-compliance, and providing a premium customer experience.If you take pride in your craft, communicate well, and enjoy being part of a driven, supportive team—you’ll fit right in.Day-to-Day ExpectationsA typical day as an Armory Plumbing technician includes:Arriving at the shop on time each morningReviewing your schedule and stocking materials/tools needed for the dayHeading out to your first service call or scheduled installationCalling the customer when you’re on the wayGreeting the customer professionally, listening carefully to their concernsDiagnosing the issue accurately and explaining your findingsCompleting the repair/installation with clean, code-compliant workmanshipFollowing all Massachusetts plumbing code requirements (248 CMR)Testing your work and educating the customer on what was doneCleaning up thoroughly—leave every space better than you found itDocumenting materials, notes, photos, and invoices before moving to the next jobProfessionalism, communication, and workmanship are the foundation of the Armory experience.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems and componentsAssemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using proper techniquesInstall fixtures, appliances, valves, and water heatersPlan and execute plumbing layouts from drawings or specificationsPerform maintenance on water supply, drainage, venting, and gas systemsInstall and maintain gas piping and hydronic-related plumbingEnsure all work meets Massachusetts plumbing code and Armory standardsInteract with customers professionally, explain findings clearly, and maintain excellent communication throughout the visitMaintain high-level professionalism in appearance, behavior, and workmanshipKeep job sites clean and protect customer propertyAccurately document job notes, materials used, recommendations, and photosQualificationsValid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumbing LicenseMinimum of 3 years professional plumbing experienceStrong understanding of residential and light commercial plumbing systemsMust be familiar with and up to date on the Massachusetts plumbing code (248 CMR)Strong troubleshooting skills and efficiency in diagnosticsAbility to use plumbing tools, materials, and equipmentClean driving record and valid driver’s licenseAbility to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces as neededPositive attitude, professionalism, and pride in your craftCompensation, Bonuses & Benefits Pay Range$30–$45 per hour, depending on license level and experience Bonus StructurePerformance-based monthly bonusesUpsell/option-based commission opportunitiesEfficiency bonuses for clean, well-documented jobsCustomer satisfaction bonuses⏳ Paid Time OffAccrued PTO starting day oneSick time in accordance with Massachusetts law Paid HolidaysNew Year’s DayMemorial DayIndependence DayLabor DayThanksgivingDay After ThanksgivingChristmas EveChristmas Day Company PerksTake-home company truck after background check, probation period, and final approvalCompany uniforms providedHigh-performing, motivational, and supportive team culturePaid training and continuing educationOpportunity for advancement as the company growsAll major tools and specialty equipment providedLeadership and management growth paths availableFamily-like environment with a focus on individual and team success
