Basic Job Purpose:
As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist at Amorworks, you will play a vital role in protecting the well-being of our employees and the environment. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies and programs that align with both regulatory requirements and company standards.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver engaging training to employees on safety protocols and best practices.
- Support the development and maintenance of environmental procedures and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including hazardous waste management, wastewater discharge, stormwater protection, and air permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate EHS records and reports.
- Provide hands-on support for incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Travel up to 25% may be required to support other facilities or projects.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Regional EHS Manager and plays a key role in supporting company-wide EHS efforts.
Assignment of Functions and Duties:
- Assist with top-down review of current EHS policies and practices
- Assist with managing EHS programs and procedures.
- Assist with developing new environmental and safety policies
- Create, maintain, and oversee the compliance calendar for all regulatory requirements
- Assisting with preventing and minimizing exposure to environmental hazards
- Assist in training of AW employees in EHS programs and policies
- Maintain records and logs and prepare periodic reports for review
- Perform regular safety audits and sampling
- Assist with monitoring company safety culture
- Maintaining safety compliance tracking mechanism (KPIs)
- Support development of job hazard analysis and risk assessments
- Maintain records and logs and prepare periodic reports for review.
- Supports Human Resources with the Return-To-Work program
- Provides technical support for EHS projects, problem solving, investigations including site inspections and activities
Minimum Requirements for Education, Skillset, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or 5 years of experience in EHS
- Working knowledge and experience in general manufacturing safety processes, procedures, and requirements
- Working knowledge and experience with general and/or construction OSHA requirements
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
