DENTAL ASSISTANT (CDA) – PART-TIME
Blair County Prison | Hollidaysburg, PA
Schedule: Fridays
Armor Health is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to support dental services at Blair County Prison.
Candidates must hold current Dental Assistant certification/credentialing. Candidates without a Dental Assistant certification or credential will not be considered.
The role is focused exclusively on supporting dental services in a structured, secure correctional healthcare environment.
What You Will Do
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, including preventive and prosthetic care
- Assist with dental radiography and process images according to provider orders
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic
- Monitor and maintain dental equipment, including sterilizers and radiographic equipment
- Support patient flow by scheduling appointments, maintaining charts, and documenting care in the EMR
- Manage inventory and ensure dental supplies are stocked and available
What You Bring
REQUIRED:
- Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or applicable state-required Dental Assistant credential
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience
- Current CPR certification
- Current X-Ray/Radiography certification is required
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Candidates who do not currently hold the required Dental Assistant credential will not be considered.
