Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Superintendent and/or Designee, responsible for the District’s facilities, maintenance, transportation and daily operations to ensure the best educational environment. The Maintenance, Operations and Transportation Supervisor (MOT) trains, supervises and evaluates classified employees assigned to the MOT department. The MOT Supervisor oversees and facilitates the maintenance, repair and alteration of District facilities and works with the administrative team to develop short-term and long-term goals and implements safe work practices and safety regulation; understands principles and techniques of management. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in government or school facilities and/or * Minimum of 3 years of progressive responsibility and/or certification in one or more trades that pertain to MOT. * Completion of higher education in Public Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related area of study and/or * Completion of Coalition for Adequate School Housing School Facilities Leadership Academy.
* Letter of introduction and current resume. * Three (3) letters of recommendation signed and dated within the last 3-5 years, including current supervisor. * Copies of all valid certificates and degrees. * Unofficial transcript copies for units obtained from higher education. * Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
