Job summary
Armon Renovations is a growing local general contractor serving the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas. Our projects include custom homes, additions, renovations, basements, framing, finish work, and other residential construction.
We are looking for dependable construction laborers or carpenter helpers to expand our field team. Previous professional construction employment is not required; however, applicants must have basic construction knowledge, feel comfortable using common hand and power tools, and be able to accurately read a tape measure.
Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. Spanish-language skills are preferred because this position will help support communication among members of our growing construction team. Applicants of all backgrounds are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential construction, remodeling, additions, and custom-home projects
- Measure, mark, cut, carry, and install construction materials
- Safely operate common hand and power tools
- Assist with framing, demolition, drywall, finish carpentry, and general labor
- Load, unload, move, and organize tools and materials
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
- Follow plans, measurements, instructions, and jobsite safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, subcontractors, and clients
- Learn new construction skills and accept feedback from the project lead
- Arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
- Perform other construction-related duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction practices
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to [50–75 pounds]
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout the day
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to jobsites in the Fox Valley and Green Bay areas
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred qualifications
- Spanish-language or bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
