The Role
Armistead House is a 6-room contactless Victorian inn two blocks from Colonial Williamsburg. Guests book online, receive a keyless entry code, and manage their own stay. Our housekeeper keeps every part of the property clean, orderly, and ready for the next guest.
A small property means high standards are visible in every room. The work is thorough and detail-oriented, and guests notice when it is done right. You will learn the property quickly and manage your time through a consistent daily routine across guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Job Details
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Hours: 20 hours per week

Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms after check-out to a high standard
- Refresh rooms as needed during multi-night stays
- Manage laundry: wash, fold, and restock towels and linens
- Maintain shared areas including the parlor, entryways, and back-of-house spaces
- Restock guest supplies: toiletries, linens, and cleaning products
- Empty trash and tidy exterior entryways and patios
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow room checklists and established standards to ensure consistent results
Physical Requirements
This is an active role in a three-story Victorian building without an elevator. You will stand, bend, lift, and carry supplies between floors throughout the shift. Candidates should be comfortable climbing multiple flights of stairs repeatedly and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications
- Prior hotel or hospitality housekeeping experience strongly preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent
- Strong attention to detail and a high personal standard for cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and manage time across a consistent daily routine
- Comfortable working quietly and professionally around guests
- Available Thursday through Monday including weekends
