Construction Project Manager
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Work Schedule: Hybrid — minimum of three days onsite per week

Armen Controls LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee electrical construction, automation, and industrial control projects. This position will manage projects from planning through completion while ensuring they remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage construction projects from startup through closeout.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and plant personnel.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, change orders, and project requirements.
- Track labor, materials, equipment, expenses, and project profitability.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress reports to company leadership.
- Identify project risks, delays, and cost concerns and develop corrective plans.
- Ensure work complies with OSHA requirements, customer policies, and company safety standards.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, daily reports, and closeout documents.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and promptly address project concerns.
- Travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
- Previous project management experience in construction is required.
- Electrical, industrial, manufacturing, automation, or controls experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project documentation.
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction or project-management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in Birmingham, Alabama. The selected candidate must work onsite at least three days each week. The remaining workdays may be remote, depending on project demands, meetings, site visits, and business needs.
