- Must operate of all AFRH-G provided motor vehicles, to include:
- Sedans
- Minivans
- Carry-all vans
- 4 to 6 Passenger Vans w/1 to 2 wheelchair positions, (Medium Class Vehicle 14,000 to 16,000 lbs.)
- Shuttle Buses (Low Floor and High Floor type) with 12-16 passenger capability with 4 Wheelchair positions for transport of authorized personnel (to include Government employees, resident escorts, and medical support personnel) and equipment to and from locations off the AFRH Campus.
- Other GFE noted in Part 3 of the PWS.
- Transportation of residents; to include Ambulatory, Non-Ambulatory, and residents with disabilities; to and from scheduled medical appointments at designated sites normally within a 30-mile radius utilizing Armed Forces Retirement Home-provided, General Services Administration (GSA) leased vehicles. Duties can involve one on one type transportation (AFRH-G to medical appointment and return to AFRH), to operating a scheduled route.
- Assisting residents (Ambulatory, Non-Ambulatory and residents with disabilities) in and out of vehicle to ensure safety of residents and care of vehicle.
- Safely and properly (operate and follow proper safety and equipment instructions) securing residents and if applicable, the residents' wheelchair(s) or Personal Mobility Device(s) (PMD) in AFRH-G provided vehicles. (GFE Section 3)
