Responsibilities:
- Work with client to enforce security procedures
- Conduct patrols and perimeter checks
- Maintain command presence and customer service
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Monitor surveillance cameras
- Report on daily activities and any security incidents
- Valid Guard Card Permit through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
- Training certificates to support active Guard Card (40-hour certificates and 8-hour continuing education courses)
- Valid Exposed Firearm Permit
- 21 Years or Older
- Reliable Transportation
- Cell-phone that can receive text messages and has internet access
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred
- American Red Cross CPR certification (We can help get this)
- Customer service oriented
- Active listening and critical thinking
- Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
- Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Position starts at $20.00/hour, ranging up to $21.00/hour after 90-day full-time (or full-time equivalent) employment evaluation and performance review
