Summary
- Full-time 1st shift opportunity with a restoration and heavy-duty repair company
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment
- Work on suspension systems, axles, kingpins, brakes, radiators, clutches, air bags, and related components
- Complete preventive maintenance services from start to finish
- Hands-on position in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment
- Assist with general shop duties, maintenance, and other tasks as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance using hand tools
- Inspect, repair, and maintain suspension systems, axles, kingpins, and related components
- Repair and maintain radiators, cooling systems, clutches, air bags, and related mechanical components
- Perform preventive maintenance services from start to finish, including inspections, servicing, repairs, and documentation
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair brake systems
- Identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Perform daily housekeeping and maintain shop equipment and work areas
- Assist with shop maintenance, odd jobs, and other duties when mechanical repairs are not available
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance
- Ability to safely use common hand tools
- Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle mechanical systems preferred
- Experience with suspension systems, axles, kingpins, brakes, radiators, clutches, or air bags preferred
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance services from start to finish
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Ability to work safely around heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience working on cars, trucks, farm tractors, or other equipment is helpful
