Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in Toledo, OH. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for handling routine accounting tasks such as processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting in audits. The role requires staying organized, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. The Assistant Accountant will also collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and maintain compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and experience with account reconciliations
- Knowledge of General Ledger management and financial reporting practices
- Basic proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
- Analytical skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate and organized financial records
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Recommended)
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles is advantageous
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and financial standards is preferred
