Position Summary
We are seeking a National Account Manager to join our Sales and Business Development team. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for expanding business with established retail and trade partners while proactively opening new sales channels. You will work closely with our Product Development and Supply Chain teams to deliver custom product solutions, execute strategic growth plans, and drive revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy: Develop and execute strategic growth plans to maximize revenue across existing customers and new business opportunities.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary relationship manager for key accounts—conducting discovery meetings, leading on-site presentations, delivering RFPs/proposals, and negotiating pricing.
- Pipeline & Prospecting: Prospect, qualify, and close new business via cold outreach, networking, and industry events.
- Product & Market Collaboration: Partner with internal Product Development and Supply Chain teams to translate customer feedback and market trends into new product opportunities.
- Reporting & Metrics: Lead weekly sales reviews and present performance updates and revenue forecasts to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven sales or account management experience handling consumer or industrial products (retail and e-commerce channel experience strongly preferred).
- Industry Focus: Experience in lighting, electrical products, or building materials is a significant plus.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and independently driving new customer acquisition.
- Skills: Proficient in sales forecasting, data analysis, and reporting using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed to conduct client site visits, attend trade shows, and support strategic sales goals.
