About

Arm is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) to drive server SoC adoption by working hands-on with end-customer engineering teams. This is a deeply technical, customer-facing role focused on system bring-up, software enablement, interface integration, and performance optimization on Arm-based server SoCs and platforms.

You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, software, and systems workflows, helping customers optimize workloads on Arm-based servers and infrastructure platforms.

In this role, you will be the technical bridge between Arm’s internal architecture, product, and software teams and customer engineering organizations. You will help customers evaluate, adopt, and deploy Arm-based server SoCs by providing deep technical guidance across hardware, firmware, OS, and workload performance.

You will engage directly with customer architects, platform engineers, firmware teams, OS/kernel teams, and performance engineers to support demoing, evaluation, qualification, and large-scale deployment of Arm-based server systems.

This role is highly customer-facing, hands-on, and impact-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical interface between Arm and end customers evaluating or deploying Arm-based server SoCs.
  • Support customer bring-up, evaluation, and production deployment of Arm-based server platforms.
  • Provide technical guidance across system architecture, SoC integration, firmware, boot flows, and Linux enablement.
  • Assist customers with performance analysis, benchmarking, and workload optimization on Arm server platforms.
  • Assist with TCO analysis based on customer configurations.
  • Experience in triaging issues at customer site and engaging with core engineering teams to drive resolution.
  • Drive proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements to demonstrate performance, efficiency, and total cost of ownership benefits of Arm-based servers.
  • Capture customer feedback and requirements, and relay insights to Arm product, architecture, and ecosystem teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, best practices, and customer-specific enablement materials.
  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions to customer engineering teams and decision-makers.
  • Support competitive analysis and positioning to help customers understand Arm’s differentiation in the server SoC landscape.

Who You Are

  • A technically strong engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and influencing platform adoption.
  • Comfortable discussing system-level architecture and diving deep into low-level technical details when needed.
  • Experienced in guiding customers through evaluation and deployment of complex infrastructure technologies.
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for diverse audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working with server SoCs, CPUs, or infrastructure platforms in a customer-facing or enablement role.
  • Strong understanding of server system architecture (CPU cores, memory subsystems, interconnects, I/O).
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with Linux system bring-up, debugging, performance analysis and toolchains.
  • Hands on experience with server deployment in data-centers, including debugging/troubleshooting field issues.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 20–30%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise customers in server, cloud, or data center environments.
  • Familiarity with Arm server architectures (e.g., Neoverse) and Arm-based SoC platforms.
  • Experience with firmware, boot loaders, or low-level software (UEFI, BIOS alternatives, BMC, etc.).
  • Background in performance engineering, benchmarking, or workload optimization.
  • Experience collaborating across sales, product, and engineering teams.
