JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review requirements and develop/analyze technical concepts for new projects
- Plan and detailed design of machines, tooling and custom sub-systems
- Work with teams of engineers and programmers on system architectures
- Contribute to cost estimation on projects
- Develop simulations and perform cycle time analysis on designs
- Utilize modern CAD and design tools (Solidworks is our primary CAD environment)
- Prepare detailed drawings and informed documentation for vendors and fabricators to follow
- Identify and select off-the-shelf components suitable for use
- Interface with customers on requirements and integration
- Oversee system testing, installation and commissioning
- Track progress against cost and time goals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or demonstrated track record in machine design
- Hands-on experience in design-build-test of new equipment
- Experience in a relevant technical discipline
- 2 years experience in industrial automation and machine design
- Strong CAD skills
- Willing to submit to a background check and drug test
- Valid drivers license
- Authorized to work in the U.S (qualify as a "US Person" per US Federal standards)
- Ability to travel (primarily within the US) on an periodic basis (between 5-10 wk/yr)
- Some accommodation for remote work, but regular in-office time is required
