Arlo is growing and needs the help of a seasoned Software Quality Engineer to support our critical mission of growing and maintaining tests, including the development of test cases, test plans, and test scripts. You will conduct manual testing for regression, UI, mobile apps, web applications, and various scenarios, ensuring core functionality and overall stability. You will work with our client automation engineers and wider functional teams on a comprehensive approach to quality with a focus on scenarios that can be automated.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, You Will
- Apply and enhance Arlo’s methodologies and evangelize effective testing standards
- Conduct hands-on test planning, test development, testing and submitting defects
- Identify end-to-end scenarios that exercise customer and partner workflows, with a focus on developing scenarios that can be automated
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to develop and execute acceptance tests and test plans
- Analyze test results to ensure that the product functions per requirements
- Generate efficient and effective reports for results, status, and metrics
- Communicate results and issues clearly across relevant teams and contributors
- Setup, configure, and maintain software test environments
- Work closely with the Quality Engineering team and provide technical guidance to peer QE members as needed
- Stand in for QE managers to ensure testing and reporting stays on track as needed
- Exhibit strong analytical and exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and identify the root cause of test failures
- Passion for testing and quality assurance, with the end goal of delivering the best user experience
- Proficiency in software development life cycles, including waterfall and agile methodologies
- 4 years of experience in Quality Engineering
- Strong test case development experience
- Proficiency in test tools like Jira or equivalent
- Experience with iOS and Android testing
- Experience testing user interfaces for client-server applications running in web browser
- Product experience with wireless consumer electronics
- Excellent working knowledge of Linux
- High reliability enterprise software and systems
- Audio and video compression standards and tools
- Knowledge of automation frameworks (Robot, Selenium, XCUITEST, etc.)
