POSITION: Elementary Mathematics Interventionist
LOCATION: Peirce Elementary School
POSITION GOAL: Elementary intervention aims to provide Tier II and III services through push-in and pull-out models for identified students.

REPORTS TO: Building principal (primary) and K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director (contributing).
SALARY: According to AEA Unit A Contract $60,100 - $76,413 per year
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated as per the Arlington Education Association Contract. The building principal will complete evaluations with support from the K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Director.

Qualifications
- K-5 Elementary Teacher or Elementary Mathematics Specialist certification
- Content and pedagogical understanding of elementary mathematics
- Experience differentiating mathematics instruction for all learners
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teachers, coaches, staff, and leadership
- Ability to learn how to administer, score, and interpret diagnostic and benchmark measures
- Plan small group instruction based on diagnostic and benchmark measures
- Building-based math interventionist
- Regularly review data to identify students for Tier II mathematics instruction
- Work with students on developing their understanding of mathematics through their strengths.
- Collaborate with specialists, other interventionists, special educators, and teacher leaders to foster a Multi-Tiered System of Support.
- Collaborate closely with Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) students and staff to support Multilingual learners (MLs).
- Connect regularly with:
- Role-alike interventionists across schools
- Building-based coach
- K-12 Director of Mathematics and Computer Science
- School principal/assistant principal
