Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, grinding, cleaning, and surface treatment to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Operate spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
- Interpret production documents such as work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine appropriate painting procedures and materials.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for assembly, surface finishing, and coating application tasks.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, goggles, and protective clothing during all painting activities.
- Handle materials safely within warehouse environments, including materials handling and forklift operation when necessary.
- Conduct visual color comparisons and use precision measuring instruments to ensure coating consistency and quality compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to promote a safe working environment and efficient production flow.
- Follow construction painting surface preparation standards for various surfaces to ensure long-lasting finishes.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to verify coating uniformity, color accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting or manufacturing environments with knowledge of coating techniques such as powder coating, auto painting, or construction surface preparation.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse operations including materials handling and forklift operation is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and PPE use in all tasks is essential for success in this role.
