Maintaining Order and Supervision
- Maintain order on and around school buses
- Intervene in confrontations and student fights if necessary; attempt to calm students
- Escort students to and from special appointments
- Monitor students in parking lots and supervise bus loading/unloading
- Assist in rendering first aid in emergency situations
- Inform superiors of observed student behavior
Job Qualifications
- Pass the required NYS Education Department Physical Performance Test
- Get along well with school-aged children
- Exhibit good observation skills, tact, judgment, and courtesy
