Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply automotive paint using airless spray guns, power tools, and airbrush techniques for smooth, even finishes.
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and welding to restore vehicle integrity.
- Buff, polish, and detail painted surfaces to achieve a high-gloss finish that meets quality standards.
- Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed during the restoration process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools such as hand tools and power tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, vehicle inspection, and customer service to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto body shop experience as an automotive paint technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto body repair techniques, and auto painting processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant tools.
- Experience with auto restoration projects including welding, detailing, auto glass work, and vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service principles is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair procedures.
