The Sales Executive is responsible for acquiring new business opportunities across ARL’s network. This position plays a key part in expanding ARL’s customer base, representing multiple divisions including logistics, asset-based transport, and agency partnerships. The Sales Executive collaborates closely with leadership and peers to refine their sales craft, strengthen customer relationships, and build the foundation for long-term success within the organization.
Business Development and Growth
• Generate new business through outreach, referrals, conferences, and prospect engagement.
• Support the company’s expansion across all divisions including brokerage, transportation, and agent recruiting.
• Participate in both internal and external QBRs when required, providing input and insights on customer progress.
• Represent ARL professionally at industry events and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop targeted outreach strategies that align with company growth objectives.
• Manage the initial phases of the sales cycle including lead qualification, discovery, and closing new opportunities.
• Coordinate with leadership to assign the appropriate BDR for each new customer post-close.
• Facilitate a structured onboarding process to ensure the customer’s expectations, communication standards, and billing requirements are clearly defined.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with customers after handoff to ensure satisfaction and uncover potential growth opportunities.
• Actively participate in training programs, mentorship sessions, and performance reviews aimed at enhancing sales effectiveness and leadership readiness.
• Demonstrate initiative in learning ARL’s sales systems, customer lifecycle processes, and operational workflows.
• Develop mastery in prospecting, negotiation, and customer communication to prepare for full commission eligibility.
• Seek continuous feedback from Sales Management and peers to accelerate growth toward the National Sales Director role.
• Meet or exceed established sales activity and contribution goals while demonstrating steady growth and improvement.
• Exhibit a commitment to professional development through consistent learning, coaching participation, and sales process mastery.
• Maintain effective communication with leadership and uphold the standards of excellence required for advancement to a fully commissionable National Sales Director role.
• Support company-wide objectives by contributing to customer acquisition, relationship building, and brand reputation.
