What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Crew Chief position at Arkoma Surveying & Mapping?
Overview:
Under direction of the Field Manager, the successful candidate will lead the activities of a 2-man survey crew performing private and commercial land surveys. This includes lot surveys, acreage surveys, tract splits, ALTA’s, construction staking, topographic surveys, ODOT and Oil and Gas surveys over a large part of Oklahoma.
Successful candidates must possess:
Valid Driver's License and acceptable motor vehicle record.
The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and, upon employment, random drug screens.
Knowledge of land surveying with the use of modern RTK GPS equipment, Total Stations and Data Collectors.
The ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
Good communication and customer service skills.
The knowledge to find filed Certified Corner Records, GLO maps and field notes, Topographic maps, and Aerial photography.
Ability to organize detailed field notes for drafting and record keeping.
The desire to work safely and efficiently.
Managerial skills to supervise an Instrument Man.
Both Oklahoma Minimum Standard boundary survey experience and oilfield survey experience is preferred.
Minimum Qualification:
Minimum 3 to 5 years surveying experience.
Minimum of a High School/GED diploma and the desire to succeed in the surveying industry.
Successfully pass a pre-employment test using a Trimble RTK GPS unit, Trimble Data Collector to perform various land surveying computations, and import/export data.
Must be able to work outdoors and possess the ability to withstand year-round weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, wind and rain.
Must reside within Ada, OK area and surrounding area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
