Measurement Technician/QC

The Measure Technician works independently in a traveling field role in support of all Arko Flooring departments. The Technician's role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence and customer expectations. The position is directly responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers daily during sales, product inquiry, taking on-site home measurements, and coordinating installations in conjunction with all Arko Flooring departments. The position is also directly responsible for providing a positive customer experience, accurate measurements, entering and transmitting measurements by app driven iPad software and various related department goals. This position will also require quality control inspections on completed jobs and on going jobs. This position requires flooring knowledge and/or experience.

· Arrive on time at customer’s home with proper tools for preset measure appointments

· Quickly and accurately use a measuring computer program. Estimates include carpet, tile, wood, laminate, and vinyl. Ability to recognize sub floors, transitions and different types of flooring is preferred. You will be assigned jobsites, measure, and complete flooring condition reports

· Setting expectations with customer on installation roadmap and ensuring proper handoff

· Communicate with office and management on customer measurements & daily schedule

Job Requirements:

· Ability and eagerness to provide each customer with an exceptional experience

· Ability to deliver the most professional, efficient, and quality installation support

· Proficient basic math skills required

· Ability to plan, predict, and anticipate future needs and act proactively including seam layouts, transition pieces and floor preparation

· Able to determine type of subfloor and whether it is acceptable or requires additional prep

· Flooring types that measurements will be needed for prior to installation is carpet, hardwood, tile, laminate, and LVT.

· Valid Driver's License

· Installation experience not required but a plus

· Ability to work remotely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
