Position Summary
As a Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner at Arkhé, you will provide comprehensive, individualized care, focusing on identifying and treating the root causes of chronic and complex health issues. You’ll work collaboratively with patients, helping them optimize wellness through lifestyle medicine, targeted lab interpretation, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including extensive medical, and lifestyle history reviews.
- Develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans incorporating nutrition, lifestyle change, advanced lab interpretation, supplements, and conventional therapies when needed.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and order/interpret laboratory testing.
- Educate and empower patients to take an active role in their health journey through meaningful dialogue and coaching.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Actively participate in team discussions and contribute to clinical practice growth while upholding Arkhé’s patient-centric philosophy.
- Support community education efforts around functional wellness as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
- Active VA Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C).
- Experience in functional medicine, integrative health, or holistic care preferred; formal functional medicine training or certification (e.g., IFM) a strong plus.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a systems-based approach to care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a genuine passion for patient-centered care.
- Comfortable collaborating with a team while practicing autonomously.
