Position Summary:
The Enrollment Verification Assistant supports the enrollment and financial aid verification processes for prospective and current students at Arkansas Tech University. This position works collaboratively between the Office of Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid to assist with student record review, document collection, verification procedures, communication, and data entry.
This role is critical in protecting the integrity of the university’s enrollment and financial aid processes amid the increasing prevalence of identity fraud and fraudulent enrollment activity occurring across institutions of higher education nationwide. The Enrollment Verification Assistant helps ensure accurate student identity validation, document authenticity, and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations while supporting legitimate students through the enrollment process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and process student documents related to admissions and financial aid verification requirements.
Assist with identity verification procedures and evaluate documentation for authenticity, accuracy, and completeness.
Monitor student records for inconsistencies, suspicious activity, or potential fraudulent behavior and escalate concerns appropriately.
Assist students and families with questions regarding enrollment, admissions requirements, residency documentation, and financial aid verification processes.
Monitor outstanding student requirements and conduct outreach through phone, email, text messaging, and other communication platforms.
Maintain accurate student records within university systems, including Banner, Slate, and other institutional software platforms.
Support the collection, organization, and review of verification and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with Admissions and Financial Aid staff to resolve student record discrepancies and incomplete files.
Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations related to student records, financial aid processing, and data security practices.
Develop proficiency in Slate CRM functionality to support the use of queries, reporting tools, and other admissions systems.
Provide front-line customer service to students, families, and campus partners.
Participate in office events, orientation programs, recruitment activities, and training opportunities as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
